Chapter 12

The moment Wolf ended his Zoom call, he went into emergency mode and dispatched a team from his security division to Jubilee. They came with photos of Amalie and Sean, her home and work address, as well as a photo of Fiona. They had their orders. He knew they wouldn’t let him down.

Then he called Jack Fielding.

Jack answered on the first ring.

“Wolf?”

“Yes, it’s me. Are you free to go back to tailing Fiona?”

“I can be,” Jack said. “What’s up?”

Wolf told him.

“Shit! This is getting crazier. Can the feds really tie your wife to the bomb?”

“They’re working on it, but she’s stalking my daughter now, and that makes her deadly. I have bodyguards on the way to watch my daughter’s back. I just need to know where Fiona is, what she’s doing, and where she goes, once she finds out I’m alive.”

“So, you’re going to come out?” Jack asked.

“Gotta clear it with the feds first to make sure it doesn’t screw up their investigation.”

“Do you know where Fiona is now?” Jack asked.

“Not really. Check the Miami residence first, then see if she’s registered anywhere in Jubilee under the name Mary Ingalls.”

Jack frowned. “Why does that name sound familiar?”

“Little House on the Prairie?” Wolf asked.

“Oh hell. Yes. If she’s flinging fake names around, she may have more than one. I’ll dig into it.”

“Thank you, Jack, and this time you’re on the clock. No more freebies for me. I don’t need them, but I do need you to help me get this nightmare cleaned up,” Wolf said.

“You got it,” Jack said.

They disconnected, but Wolf still had calls to make.
